It looks like your child has fallen behind. There are serious gaps in their learning. Do not postpone it anymore as it is likely to get worse. Time is valuable. Take the first step to give them the future they deserve.
These days the number of students who do not understand the material that is being taught at school is increasing significantly. As a result, they are becoming bored and consequently, disengaged. Once students are disengaged, they fall behind even more. The number of students in this category is on the rise.
There are many reasons for this situation:
As the Australian curriculum is overloaded with many subjects, topics and learning areas, teachers at schools are struggling to focus on the core subjects: Maths and English. Additionally, the number of students in the classroom is excessive. It is extremely challenging for teachers to teach for understanding when they have many students with various abilities and diverse learning styles in the same classroom, a matter that will only snowball the gaps they have in their learning.
Moreover, most primary schools in Australia do not have subscribed textbooks, hence, there is a lack of structure and guidance for teachers. Furthermore, a lot of work needs to be put into the university courses to better prepare teachers for the classroom.
These are only a few of the many reasons that exacerbate the crisis that is our education system in Australia.
Considering that the two core subjects build on previous knowledge, having gaps hinders a student’s progress, and therefore early intervention is key.
Dear GEA staff and teachers, I can’t believe Ema’s Year 6 journey is over. The last 2 years were very difficult in many ways and obviously made Ema’s preparation for selective and scholarship exams quite challenging. I have to thank all of the GEA staff and teachers from the bottom of my heart as even though there was a lot of “unknown” in our kids’ lives they made Ema’s study journey so much easier. Clear communication, very approachable staff helping us to navigate with online learning and most of all dedicated teachers helping our kids with their preparation for the exams and overall progress in their studies…
I cannot Thank Global Education Academy enough, I thought by enrolling my son to a private school he is receiving the best education possible. I was so wrong. Since kindergarten, his report was not that great, and I was a super concern, and whenever I raised my concerns with his class teacher I was told not worry, every kid is different and that he was doing well.
After reaching out to Global Education Academy within the first two weeks I could see the difference.
I am not sure what magic spell Kate is using on my son, but it is working! Thank you, Kate, for making my son believe in his ability, I am super confident that he is in good hands. I cannot wait to see his school report.

“We decided to have Zaviar attend GEA because of its unique research-based teaching method. Living in Country NSW has meant Zaviar having to fly to Sydney each weekend to attend the course at GEA (that was before COVID). Despite the hard logistics, we are very appreciative as Zaviar received a scholarship for Knox. A couple of years later, we enrolled his younger brother in the online S&S course and he also received a scholarship to Knox. We are very happy parents.”
