Students in Year 4 sitting the OC test on 28 July 2022: Applications open on 26 April 2022 and close on 13 May 2022

Term 2 starts Monday 25 April 2022 (ANZAC Day)

We first met the Cheema family when they came in for a face-to-face consultation at our Kogarah campus. They were very keen to have their son Zaviar prepped with us to sit a scholarship test. The family, who originate from Sydney now reside in Parkes, a small town in the central west region of New South Wales. They enrolled Zaviar into our Selective/Scholarship preparation course and chose the Saturday option as they planned to fly him down to Sydney every Friday to stay with his grandparents and attend our Saturday classes. Zaviar made this journey for 50 weeks and only missed one week, due to bad weather at the time.

When Dr Majeda had a phone meeting with the parents of students in the Selective & Scholarship Program’s this year, she noticed the Cheema family name in our database. She recognised that Zayn (one of the students in the Online Selective/Scholarship Class) is actually Zavier’s brother. Only then she got the great news that Zaviar sat the scholarship test and received a full boarding scholarship to Knox Grammar.

The family now wants Zaviar’s younger brother, Zayn, to follow in his older brother’s footsteps. Zayn, having a different personality to Zaviar, as Dr Cheema explained, prefers the online version of our Selective/Scholarship preparation course. She mentioned how delighted she was when she saw that GEA is offering an online option, which allows Zayn to receive the same opportunity his brother had with us a couple of years ago.

Global Education Academy would like to congratulate Zaviar for his amazing achievement and wish him all the best in his educational journey at Knox Grammar and we also wish Zayn the very best in his preparation with us and in the scholarship test.
