Thinking Skills Holiday Course (Year 3, 4 & 5)

This course has been specifically designed to strengthen your child’s Thinking Skills and prepare them to perform with confidence. Students will learn how to break down complex problems, think strategically, and apply structured reasoning techniques to maximise their results.

Morning Session

During this course, students will:

• Develop the ability to interpret and make sense of word problem. All types of thinking skills questions will be tested such as logical reasoning, Spatial reasoning, what is the mistake, etc.
• Learn how to identify and categorise different question types
• Master how to extract and effectively use the information provided
• Explore multiple problem-solving strategies
• Apply a clear, step-by-step method to solve problems accurately
• Reflect on and evaluate their thinking process to improve performance

This structured approach builds strong mental frameworks (schemas), helping students confidently master advanced Thinking Skills.

Who: Year 5 Students sitting the Selective Test in May 2027 or Students sitting for Scholarships in 2026. Year 4 Students who want to improve their Thinking Skills abilities in preparation for Selective & Scholarship test in 2027 and 2028.

Afternoon Session

At Global Education Academy, we believe children learn best when learning is balanced with creativity and enjoyment. Our afternoon sessions from 1 PM to 5 PM include

• interactive activities,
• arts & crafts,
• quizzes,
• movie sessions,
• and team work & games

The afternoon session is designed to keep children happy, confident, and socially engaged.

* On Fridays, classes will run until 1pm.
