Reading: The ability to grasp, analyse, and interpret diverse forms of texts, such as fiction, nonfiction, poetry, or media pieces, is required for this competence. The questions may ask students to identify a text’s core idea, purpose, tone, inference, language, or structure. The questions can be presented in a more traditional manner or in novel approaches, such as a cloze or text comparison.

Mathematics: Mathematics is skill of solving quantitative issues using the subject knowledge and reasoning. In the questions related to this subject we can see topics like arithmetic, algebra, geometry, interpretation of data and comparison of quantities. In the question problem solving skill will be paramount.

General Ability / Thinking Skills: General ability / thinking skills include the skills of reasoning in different ways and situations such as logical, analytical and creative thinking. Questions of abstract, verbal or quantitative reasoning can be a part of these questions. To attempt abstract reasoning questions, the candidate has to be capable of recognizing relationship or pattern or law that governs symbols or shapes or images.

While to answer verbal reasoning, skills such as verbal analogies,synonyms,antonyms and word puzzles are important.

Mathematical facts like fractions, decimal,percentages,ratio are essential to answer numerical reasoning question.

Writing: Writing is the skill of communicating the thoughts or ideas to others with clarity and correctness in writing. Questions on writing tests will be given as writing on a specific subject, prompt or topic in creative or descriptive manner. Creative writing questions require students to use their imagination and originality to write a story, a diary entry, a newspaper report, a letter or a speech. Analytical writing questions require students to use their logic, creativity and evidence to write these types of texts.

Despite the common skills assessed, the structure of the different tests differs.
