As a versatile educator, I have obtained great wealth of knowledge and experience in working with children from preschool to high school. My passion for teaching young minds has enabled me to provide holistic and developmentally appropriate learning opportunities to my students, particularly helping children facilitate critical thinking and problem-solving skills when confronted with dilemmas. For more than five years, I have experienced initiating and collaborating with learning professionals in planning, developing and implementing curriculum and programs as well as creating and developing Individualized Education Plans. Using the whole-brain approach, learning-centred, student-focused pedagogy and a progressive kind of teaching, helps my students to pay more attention, utilize more learning capacities, lessen their stress/pressure, and foster a positive, productive learning environment. Watching my students take responsibility in learning is counted as a victory for me. Of course, it’s still a great deal to see kids learn while having fun as they tend to remember the lesson more. As a highly compassionate and committed educator, with a passion for life-long learning, my goal is to instil a love for learning into my students, build a sense of confidence, motivate them in achieving their goals and help them maximise their full potential.
The greatest sign of success for a teacher… is to be able to say, “The children are now working as if I did not exist. The child is endowed with unknown powers, which can guide us to a radiant future. If what we really want is a new world, then education must take as its aim the development of these hidden possibilities.”– (The Absorbent Mind) ~ Maria Montessori
