In the English component of the course, we focus on:
Oral reading fluency
Spelling constructs and spelling strategies
Building vocabulary and sight word recognition
Grammatical constructs and syntax development
Reading comprehension at the literal level
In the Maths component of the course, we focus on:
Constructing and partitioning numbers
Space and geometry
The course is structured for 4 terms of 10 weeks each.
Your child attends a 2 hour class once a week. Each term, your child will receive their own GEA Maths and English books that is mapped to the syllabus and written based on Cognitive Load Theory.
In Week 9 of each term, they are assessed to measure their progress. Full feedback is given to your child and you will also receive a comprehensive report on their progress and strength and weaknesses in each area.
