Bachelor of Secondary Education, Majoring in English, Seton Hall University

I began my teaching career as a tutor upon my return to Australia from the U.S.A, where I completed my teaching degree while attending Seton Hall University on an athletic scholarship. After focusing solely on tutoring while balancing it with my athletic career, I eventually moved into full-time teaching, initially within the public system before moving into the private system. In the five years, I spent teaching full time, I have had the privilege of working at some of Sydney’s most prestigious schools, in which I have acquired a wealth of experience and knowledge. I believe that the basics of English such as grammar, spelling, and handwriting have been neglected upon the increasing influx of technology and it is an issue which I feel compelled to be part of the solution to as these are skills that are essential in every facet of life.

“A teacher is never too smart to learn from his pupils. So it’s a matter of fitting your current practices to fit the individual.”
